Living Memories: Jeanne Walton’s memorial window visited by her family.

Keith Chuter and his sister Debbie Rhodes came all the way from Lincolnshire in search of a memorial window that their late aunt, Jeanne Walton, had installed in St Mary’s, Wortham.

Debbie explained that their aunt Jeanne Walton lived on Long Green, Wortham, till she passed away in 2011.  She had the window engraved in memory of her parents.

Keith added that the window at St Mary’s is their only tangible connection to their Suffolk family.

“The window means so much to me and to my sister and we were so pleased to find it when we came to Wortham today. We also saw that the our aunt’s window is mentioned in the church guide book.”

Keith and Debbie would be delighted to see messages from any Wortham villagers who remember Jeanne Walton, who had a long connection with St Mary’s, where she often arranged flowers.
